Model Context Protocol (MCP)
An open standard that lets AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude and Grok connect to external tools and data in a consistent way. Instead of a custom integration for every app, an assistant connects to an MCP server and can use the tools it exposes. Noca MCP Server →
MCP server
A service that exposes tools, data or actions to AI assistants through the Model Context Protocol. The Noca MCP Server exposes 80 tools for apps, flows, documents, chatbots and data, grouped into Builder, Data read, Data write and Admin permissions. Noca MCP Server →
MCP client
The application that connects to MCP servers and calls their tools, such as ChatGPT, Claude or Grok. Noca can also act as an MCP client, so Noca chatbots can use external MCP servers such as Notion, GitHub or Google Workspace. Build AI chatbots with MCP →
Human in the loop
A design in which a person reviews or approves an action before an AI system completes it. In Noca, workflows can include approval steps, and each MCP tool can be set to Always allow, Needs approval or Blocked. Approval workflows →
AI agent
Software that uses a language model to plan and complete multi-step tasks, using tools and data to act rather than only answer. Business AI agents work inside rules and permissions, for example by checking a request, updating a CRM and sending a document. AI agent builder →
Agentic workflow
A workflow in which AI agents make some of the decisions between steps, such as classifying a request or choosing the next action, while the workflow keeps the structure, approvals and audit trail. Noca Workers →
AI chatbot
A conversational assistant that answers questions from a knowledge base and, in business settings, can take actions such as opening tickets or looking up orders through connected workflows. Noca Bots →
AI voice agent
An AI agent that talks with people by phone or voice, understands requests and completes tasks such as booking, routing or updating records. AI voice agents →
Business process automation (BPA)
Automating a complete business process, such as onboarding, invoicing or purchasing, from the first input to the final record, rather than a single task. Automation solutions →
Workflow automation
Running a sequence of steps automatically based on triggers and rules, such as routing a form submission, creating records and sending notifications. Noca Flows →
Approval workflow
A workflow that routes a request to the right people for approval based on rules such as amount or department, tracks decisions and continues the process once approved. Approval workflow software →
AI form builder
A tool that creates forms from a plain-language description, including fields, validation, conditional logic and the workflow that handles each submission. AI form builder →
Document generation
Creating documents such as contracts, quotes and invoices automatically by filling templates with data from business systems or forms. Document generation software →
Electronic signature (e-signature)
Any electronic way of signing a document, such as typing, drawing or clicking to sign. Electronic signatures are legally recognized in many countries, for example under the US ESIGN Act and the EU eIDAS regulation. E-signature software →
Digital signature
A type of electronic signature that uses a certificate and cryptography to confirm the signer’s identity and show whether a document changed after signing. Digital signatures →
Internal tool
An application used by a company’s own teams, such as an admin panel, dashboard or request app, usually built on top of business data. A customer or partner portal is a similar app for external users. Internal tool builder →
iPaaS (integration platform as a service)
A cloud platform for connecting applications and moving data between them, such as syncing a CRM with an ERP. Integration platform →
Vibe coding
Building software by describing what you want in natural language and letting AI generate the code or app, then refining it through conversation. Enterprise vibe coding →
Prompt to app
Generating a working application, including screens, data connections and logic, from a written prompt. AI web app builder →
Quote-to-cash (QTC)
The process from creating a quote to collecting payment: quoting, approvals, signatures, orders, invoicing and payment. Quote-to-cash automation →
